Four crafts anyone would be happy to get for Christmas!
Christmas has so many traditions that call for all kinds of craft projects. Every kid loves to make homemade Christmas ornaments. My mother has a whole box of ornaments that my brother and I made when we were kids. Well, if she can find them. She doesn’t put them on the tree anymore but they are still at their house. I have this one Angel that I distinctly remember making. It was just a copy cut out with gold glitter on it but I thought it was wonderful. It seems like maybe we made decorations to decorate the tree at school or something. I also had a teacher who helped us make Christmas presents every year for our parents. I went to a small school so I had a teacher that taught me multiple years. I made my mom a basket out of blue and mauve taffeta and a paper bag. I was so proud of that basket. I don’t remember any of the other years but I just loved that basket. I have always loved to craft and what better time to make crafts than Christmas. If you do it just right you can make people some great presents.
These are some of the things I tried this year!
OK! I guess you can say it's really just 3 things I'm actually going to give as presents. In all fairness this first one turned out GREAT, when I followed the directions. I was putting my other paint project in the oven to set. So, I though that would make the nail polish permanent too. It did make it a permanent burnt mess! If you follow these directions and do not put it in the oven! You will make a cute cup! Just so you can see how terrible it turned out, I am including a picture of my disaster!
Here's the burnt mess!
I made this cup for my Mamaw. She said she wanted coffee for Christmas but that needed a little something to go along with it. So, I made her a cup to drink her coffee out of in the morning or I guess the afternoon or evening, if that's what she wants. We drink a lot of coffee in my family! I really only followed the general idea of this one but I have since bought the right brush and plan on trying it with the dots. I know there are a lot of brush strokes but I liked the way it looked homemade. You can make it more professional or percise if that is how you want it to look. The oven thing worked great on this one!
I made these coasters for my mom’s co-workers for Christmas gifts. I just did a little research on their facebook pages, printed out the pictures and it was good to go. I made a few for myself with some pictures that had been stuck on my camera roll forever.
The last one was a Cricut project. If you have a Cricut, go to the projects on Cricut design space and you can learn how to make these earrings for yourself.
Christmas is almost here! I hope everyone has a wonderful crafty Christmas!
